Sushi Nama

Japanese Sushi, Winter Park, Colorado

“Our mission at Sushi Nama is to deliver fresh, simple and innovative sushi to Colorado using only the best ingredients with all hand cut and prepared dishes. We deliver outstanding customer service to our guests within an exquisite dining environment”

That’s what the owners of Sushi Nama have to say about working towards its mission of delivering fresh, simple, and innovative sushi to Winter Park Colorado with the best ingredients available everyday.

SUSHI

Sushi, the Japanese dish consisting of small rolls of vinegar-flavored cold cooked rice served with a garnish of raw fish, vegetables, or egg, is regarded worldwide as one of the healthiest and tastiest foods on the planet.

However, finding quality sushi restaurants with a true passion for creating delicious, hand-made rolls everyday is becoming increasingly difficult. Due to the precision needed for picking high-quality ingredients and serving them fresh, very few restaurants in Colorado are regarded as worthwhile destinations.

Luckily, the strive for excellence in food and atmosphere has helped Sushi Nama become Winter Park’s favorite sushi restaurant. The mission for excellence is one that Head Chef Jimmy Lee strongly believes in. Born in South Korea in the early 70’s, and raised in Los Angeles, Jimmy has learned the art of sushi making from master sushi chef Jo San of Sushi North for over 5 years.

Experience

It’s that level of experience and dedication to the craft by Head Chef Jimmy Lee that keeps both locals and tourists returning for more:

“we got there right as they were opening and got a seat right at Sushi bar. We spent the next few hours eating some of the best sushi we’ve ever had. Chef Jimmy, quite literally, entertained us the whole night; Practically reading our mind with the pace of our meal. This place is the real deal. I realized about half way through that I hadn’t even bothered to pour a little bowl of soy sauce/wasabi as nothing we ate ever needed it.”

Menu

The menu of platters and hand rolls includes Nigiri and Sashimi rolls of tuna, yellowtail, salmon, albacore tuna, super white tuna, amberjack, halibut, mackerel, octopus, snow crab, freshwater eel, scallop, wasabi tobiko, tobiko, masago, quail egg, toro, and uni.

Hosomaki rolls fans will be delighted, because options for the six pieces include fresh tuna, yellowtail, salmon or negitoro.

Not finding your dream roll? No problem, you can build your own hand roll with your choice of two veggies, one fish, and one sauce.

If you love hand rolls, Sushi Nama offers specials of tuna, yellowtail, salmon, cali mix, and Hawaiian poke. All of which are served fresh, and are absolutely delicious.
