A short drive, 67 miles northwest from downtown Denver to Winter Park, Colorado, and only two hours from Denver International Airport, to Winter Park, Colorado. Winter Park and the Fraser Valley should be your only stop for a Colorado Ski Getaway. Don’t bother sitting in traffic on the I70 corridor when you could be skiing over an hour sooner with us!

Day one – 48 hours in Winter Park, Colorado
Since we’re on a tight schedule were going to keep you in the Winter Park Territory your first, you’ll have access to the village for a late lunch.

Pizza Pedal’r
After getting a few runs in stop by the Winter Park Village. With lots of options for lunch, you can grab a bit and be back on the slopes in a few minutes.
Our choice for this trip is the Pizza Pedal’r. The Pizza Pedal’r won our best pizza award last year voted on by you, our readers. So you know it must be good.
Go for a whole pizza, you’re burning lots of calories on the slopes, and you are on vacation!

You can’t go skiing and skip the Apres Ski! (Unless you don’t drink, if that’s the case, try a virgin cocktail)
Once the lifts quit turning, and you hit your last run stop by the base for a cocktail and hash over how awesome the snow was with a local.
Doc’s Roadhouse is perfect to wind down and grab a beer.

The Foundry Cinema & Bowl
Check what’s playing at the Foundry Cinema & Bowl while you’re eating lunch. The Foundry Cinema & Bowl is the only movie theater in the Fraser Valley. Located in Fraser, Colorado, don’t worry, Fraser is adjacent to the Town of Winter Park.
The Foundry Cinema & Bowl has two movie theaters, and eight bowling lanes, watch a movie or go bowling with your group.

Mary Jane Territory
Ok, you’ve got your first day of skiing, and you’re looking for a more challenging territory than Cranmer, Balch, and Hughes. Head to Mary Jane Territory for a more extreme ski day.
If the resort has opened Mary Jane, that is. Which doesn’t happen until to Christmas or thereabouts each year.

Mary Jane Territory Restaurant, Lunch Rock opened in the 2014/15 season with great fanfare. The killer views make up for the prices, remember you’re at a ski resort restaurant at an elevation of 16,000′. Of course, the prices will be higher!
